The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Lately, I've been catch this "The Hobbit Fever" that made me watched "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" for the third times ( 3D, 3D 48 Frs, and 2D >///<). Wkwkwk. I don't know how come I get into this craziness. Honestly, this movie is not that great. I mean, of course this is a really good movie!! But I never thought this kind of movie could made me watched it for three times!! Or maybe it's just because I love Martin Freeman?

Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins
Hmm.. Maybe. Or maybe it's because I miss Gollum and Gandalf. He he he. I'm an avid fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, even thought I've read the books after the movies. Not like other girls that usually fall for Legolas (Visually stunning, handsome, cool elf with his bow and arrows. And not forgot to mention his long blonde hair), I always thought Gollum is more interesting (Andy Serkis should get award for his performance as Gollum!). Ah.. And don't forget the fair Elijah Wood (with his big blue eyes >///< and rosy cheek) as Frodo Baggins.

Bilbo among the dwarfs
Back to the Hobbit, I only know Bilbo Baggins from the Lord of the Rings' book and movies. But as soon as I watched the movie for the first time, I kinda love Bilbo's character. I really love Martin Freeman playing it, though because I never read "the Hobbit", I didn't know how close his acting resemble Bilbo Baggins that was described in the book. I kinda love Thorin Oakenshield too. I think all the acting part in this movie is good. The cinematography and soundtracks in this film is good too.

Many people complained about the high frame rate that is used in this film (48 frs). I didn't have any complaint except that this higher frame rate made everything look real, so that the fake one looks more fake. The movie looks good in the ordinary 3D and 2D though. My favorite scene, of course the game of riddle between Bilbo and Gollum. My least favorite scene is when Radagast the Brown covering the escape of the dwarfs, Bilbo and Gandalf from Orcs on Wargs (Is it really neccessary? duh). Although many critics didn't like this film and a few viewers said this movie is boring, I find this movie suit my taste.

So, what do you think about this movie? Good or bad?
